At Cadle Primary School we understand that physical activity can have a positive impact on pupils learning and achievements. We are dedicated to promoting 'leading a healthy lifestyle' to the children and parents of our school and show dedication to various initiatives and awards, that help us to achieve this.
We are aware that when children move regularly in school, their behaviour, attention, attendance and academic performance often improves. Getting children active is part of our daily pedagogy. We participate in a range of daily activities as well as annual events that provide children with optimum opportunities to become physically active, which contributes to higher productivity levels in children.
We have started our journey of becoming an Active Journeys School and are aiming to achieve the Sustrans Bronze Award this academic year.
Our aim is to change the travel behaviour of our staff and families, encouraging them to become more active and social as well as raising awareness of the environmental benefits.
