In Acorns Nursery in Cadle we love to see what the boys and girls have been doing at home with mummy, daddy, nanny and bampy or anyone who looks after them.
We have our 'Number of the Week', where children bring in something from home, that they have found or made with our number of the week on it. We then enjoy looking at all the interesting things on our number display.
Numberblocks
Numicon is a resource we use to help your child have a visual image of number as well as recognising number and value. It is a multi-sensory way of learning, which means your child learns by seeing and feeling, as it is tactile and brightly coloured, making it attractive to children. We try to use Numicon as much as possible and it is available for the children to play with in any area of the nursery.
